I began working with individuals and families to help alleviate emotional distress and support people to achieve significant change in their lives in 2000. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with the University of Leicester in 2006. Following this, I worked in NHS teams in the UK supporting adults with emotional issues for 5 years. I returned to Jersey in 2011, where I have been working with children, young people and their families since this time. I completed the Masters in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy through the Institute of Family Therapy in 2016. I have worked with many individuals, families and couples struggling with a range of challenges using therapeutic models and approaches acquired through this invaluable training.
I use an integrative approach and have trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, social constructionist approaches and narrative therapy. I attend regular training and continued professional development opportunities to enhance my knowledge and skills. I am registered with the HCPC and the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.
